What is Life Coaching?
You have probably heard about Life Coaching before. Maybe you have already experienced a coaching session or looked up for some definitions. It might be that you are still a little bit confused.
In simple words, life coaching is a process of empowering conversation and a mix of creative techniques to help you (the client or the coachee) to achieve the results and outcomes you want to achieve. It’s a to-do-with process where you take an active role towards improving your life, while the life coach supports you and challenges your own beliefs and perspectives. It can be called a Coaching relationship.
Every Coaching relationship is Authentic
If you still feel like it sounds abstract, you might be right. Every individual has an authentic life story, challenges they want to work on. Same goes for Life Coaches. There are many coaches and many approaches towards life coaching as it is still considered a fairly new and growing industry.
My own belief is that coaching is authentic as every coaching relationship is co-created, therefore unique! In the same way, every coach is able to niche their practice or shape their tools and style in a way they feel they can help and support their clients in the best way.
Here we come to a moment when Coaching splits into different directions.
It can be niches, for example – career coaching, transformational coaching, relationship coaching etc. Don’t get confused, they are still life-coaching types, just more focussed on specific audiences. The question is – how do I know what kind of coaching I need?

Well, the answer is up to you to discover what aligns with you better. If you are looking for a very specific area in your life to improve, you can look for a specific niche coaching. If you want to improve your life as a whole – you might look for someone who is working in several areas. In the next paragraph I would like to introduce to you Integrative Life Coaching approach.
What is Integrative Life Coaching?
An Integrative Life coach, similarly as a traditional life coach helps you to reach results and improve important areas of your life. Additionally, Integrative Life Coaching also uses healing techniques that help you to improve your general life quality and wellness in all body systems. These systems are your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
As Integrative Coaches, we truly believe that everything in our life is interconnected, so it is truly important to take care of our mental and emotional health, same as our spiritual understanding of the world and physical (tangible) needs. Also – to see how they interact with each other.
To summarize – an integrative life coach is helping you to move towards your results, as well as moving towards general balance and health in your life.

Just to give you an example – imagine you want to start a healthier lifestyle and lose some weight. In the past you have tried several fitness plans and diets but nothing really worked for you, so you gave up pretty quickly. While you have the physical ability to do a workout and plan your time, and you have the willingness to do it, there is something holding you back. It can be a disturbing past experience, lack of believing in yourself or ability to enjoy exercise. Using an integrative approach we will come up with emotional, mental and spiritual exercises that will help you to support your goal within your whole self and get a new perspective of it.
